NWF Opti Rumen is a unique blend of plant extracts, essential oils and spices, which positively alters the rumen microbes to ensure optimal fermentation for more efficient production.
It is an important additive for:
- Balancing excess rumen fermentable protein
- Buffering the rumen
- Increasing butterfat
Features
Removes excess N & decreases milk urea.
NWF Opti Rumen works by mopping up free nitrogen in the rumen whilst increasing levels of bypass protein contributing to decreased milk urea levels. Trials have shown ammonia production in the rumen decreased by 18% in a fibre-based diet and 27% in a starch-based diet.
Improves Rumen Buffering Capacity By;
- Increased saliva Production
- Increased salivary pH, which in turn increases rumen pH
- Reduced duration of low pH after meals
Increases butterfat by:
- Balancing rumen fermentable carbohydrates and protein.
- Enhanced fibre digestion
Application
NWF Opti Rumen is included as standard in Grazemore and is available as an additive on selected compounds. Daily requirement 1-3g/ head/ day.
