Congratulations to NWF customers who have been showing livestock this summer. Here are some of the highlights from across the country.
Nantwich Show – Daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Overy, Lower Hall Farm, Spurstow near Tarporley attended Nantwich Show for the first time and won “Best in breed” for their Ryeland lambs and a Championship class.
Great Yorkshire Show – Mr J Goldie, Newbie Mains, Annan, Dumfriesshire, awarded three firsts, won first for the Group of Three Simmentalsand won overall Simmental Champion. Success also at Dumfries Show winning Charolais and Simmental Championship and beef interbreed.
Royal Welsh – Dafydd and Helen Cox of Glanmor Jerseys won Supreme Champion Dairy Heifer and Seimon and Eleanor Thomas, Drysgolgoch won Shorthorn Heifer Champion and Reserve Champion Shorthorn.
Merthyr Tydfil Lamb Carcase Competition – Cecil Partridge of West Sidborough, Tiverton won the Best West Country lamb carcasse with a Berichon cross Suffolk lamb in the annual show and sale.
