Having worked in animal nutrition for 15 years, Adam has a healthy level of experience in a broad aspect of ruminant nutrition, ranging from high input high output systems and forage or pasture based systems. All of which he approaches with the principle of efficient production, prioritizing animal health and longevity.
Brought up on a dairy and beef farm in Stone, Staffordshire, Adam graduated from Harper Adams University in 2003 and began working in the technical department for Frank Wright’s, a mineral premix business in Derbyshire. Now back on UK soil, Adam shares his expertise at NWF. Providing exceptional technical advice to drive maximum value from feed, is a primary focus for the NWF business. The NWF laboratory at Wardle provides forage analysis for rapid results and feedback to support farmers in ration planning and its feed specialists are highly trained with access to a comprehensive range of services to help deliver value to customers.
Adam Clay, Head of Technical at NWF Agriculture commented; “NWF is a progressive agricultural business with a strong culture of supplying quality feeds and customer service. Good nutrition and diet is vital to livestock performance and this is why I gain a huge amount of satisfaction from working with farmers to help them achieve their goals. Every farm is different with specific requirements; advice must be tailored to help maximize business performance, focusing on individual limiting factors to ensure the farmer see’s the biggest response. I am thrilled to join NWF and look forward to supporting our customers with technical knowledge for the benefit of their herd and farming business.”
