NWF Agriculture Appoints New Head of Technical

NWF Agriculture, leading national supplier of ruminant animal feed, is delighted to appoint a new Head of Technical, bringing a wealth of nutritional knowledge to its extensive team.

Based at NWF Agriculture Head Office in Cheshire, Adam Clay joins the technical department to deliver training to the NWF sales team, technical support to NWF customers and ensure NWF deliver innovation through advice, its services and product development to meet the demands of its livestock farming customers.

Having worked in animal nutrition for 15 years, Adam has a healthy level of experience in a broad aspect of ruminant nutrition, ranging from high input high output systems and forage or pasture based systems. All of which he approaches with the principle of efficient production, prioritizing animal health and longevity.

Brought up on a dairy and beef farm in Stone, Staffordshire, Adam graduated from Harper Adams University in 2003 and began working in the technical department for Frank Wright’s, a mineral premix business in Derbyshire. After some time working as a farm and feed advisor he then went on to develop his career in New Zealand as technical manager for a feed additive company.

Now back on UK soil, Adam shares his expertise at NWF. Providing exceptional technical advice to drive maximum value from feed, is a primary focus for the NWF business. The NWF laboratory at Wardle provides forage analysis for rapid results and feedback to support farmers in ration planning and its feed specialists are highly trained with access to a comprehensive range of services to help deliver value to customers.

Adam Clay, Head of Technical at NWF Agriculture commented; “NWF is a progressive agricultural business with a strong culture of supplying quality feeds and customer service. Good nutrition and diet is vital to livestock performance and this is why I gain a huge amount of satisfaction from working with farmers to help them achieve their goals. Every farm is different with specific requirements; advice must be tailored to help maximize business performance, focusing on individual limiting factors to ensure the farmer see’s the biggest response. I am thrilled to join NWF and look forward to supporting our customers with technical knowledge for the benefit of their herd and farming business.”
