NWF Sales specialists use a variety of blueprints as examples of best practice in regards to nutrient requirements that should be used during different stages of the lactation.

 

It is important that a cows requirements within a lactation from peak production to Pre-drying off are met from the diet supplied.

 

With this in mind, we have created a series of blue prints, looking at dry matter intakes, energy and protein requirements, whilst maintaining a healthy cow.

 

Within these blueprints, NWF takes into account the need to keep the rumen healthy and fertility good, while keeping an eye on glucose production within the cow.

 

The NWF Mineral Blueprint looks at ensuring that the macro, trace elements and vitamin supply essential for a lactating dairy cow are supplied in sufficient quantities, whilst not over stepping any legal tolerances. Dry cows are equally important in their rest, repair and prepare stage.
